Job summary

Astrion seeks a SME-level Integrated Air Defense Test Engineer at Eglin AFB, FL. You will lead testing and integration of sensors and C2 systems in a complex IADS, architect Master Test Plans, and define performance measures for system verification.

You will also validate multi-sensor data fusion, support interoperability, generate final reports, and advise on system upgrades. Strong leadership and 10+ years in IADS are expected.

Qualifications

• SMEs typically have a technical Master's Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 10-15+ years in IADS, C2 and sensor testing.
• Recognized authority in air defense architectures.
• Proficient in radar kinematics, multi-sensor fusion and data links.
• Willing to work extended hours to meet mission requirements.
• Ability to lead and direct the work of others.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute testing, integration, and evaluation of sensors and C2 systems for an advanced IADS.
• Architect Master Test Plans for complex IADS architectures.
• Define MOPs and MOEs for C2 and sensor nodes.
• Evaluate sensor performance (Radar, RF, EO/IR) in contested environments.
• Support C2 interoperability and assess threat eval algorithms.
• Write final test reports and provide engineering recommendations to management.
• Develop system requirements, performance measures, and test criteria.
• Coordinate travel to ranges and manage test data and assets.
