Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Northampton, MA is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Integration & Test Engineer to synthesize and define test processes for complex electro-optical and electro-mechanical systems.

You will coordinate integration and testing from component to system levels and ensure technical obligations are fulfilled. The role requires senior-level expertise with strong project management skills and applies lessons learned across Submarine and Surface Imaging programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with minimum 6 years of Integration/Test experience; graduate degree requires 4 years; without degree, 10 years of related experience
• Technical software used includes IBM Rational DOORS, Test Rail, MBSE, and Atlassian Suite (JIRA and Confluence)
• Test hardware includes DC Power Supplies, Digital Multi-Meters, Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, RF Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, Noise Figure Analyzer, and Fiber Optic Scope Meter
• Understanding of systems engineering concepts
• Knowledge of Electro-Optical Imaging testing, Broadband RF/Microwave and Antenna testing
• Project and team leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Provide I&T leadership as the I&T Lead with an IPT lead on design and development issues
• Guide engineering development teams and apply lessons learned from Submarine and Surface Imaging systems
• Perform CAM responsibilities for System Qualification WBS including scheduling, quoting, estimating
• Coordinate with I&T commodity teams to flow down customer requirements
• Support design reviews (SDR, PDR, CDR)
• Contribute to Risk and Opportunities registers for development/production programs
• Generate test validation metrics for Engineering Program Reviews
• Lead customer discussions in multiple forums (SEWG, MWG, IPTs)
• Develop test plans, procedures, requirements traceability, reports, and test design
• Execute verification and validation from component to system level
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Support Operations in Failure Trend analysis and corrective actions
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
• Ability to obtain a US DOD Secret Clearance
