Job summary

Prime Controls, L.P. is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Supervisor to lead and coordinate instrumentation set-up, connections, and testing across projects. You will supervise technicians and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Minimum 5 years in industrial automation with PLCs, instrumentation, and electrical schematics; NCCER/CCST I or Journeyman preferred. Full-time, on-site Denver-based role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in industrial experience as a technician with supervisory experience.
• Familiar with automation, controls, VFD drives and soft starters.
• Experience interpreting wiring schematics/diagrams and P&ID’s.
• Experience with loop checks and instrument calibration.
• Safety-focused with proven supervision abilities and scheduling skill.
• Proficient with computer skills and MS Office; able to manage small projects.

Responsibilities

• supervise instrumentation and controls technicians in setup, connections, and testing.
• Coordinate with electrical contractors for instrumentation set-up and terminations.
• Inspect work for conformance to standards and electrical codes.
• Review schedules and estimate hours; train technicians on procedures and safety.
• Assist in hiring decisions and performance reviews; enforce safety regulations.
• Coordinate materials procurement and labor to stay on schedule.
