Job summary

Canadian Breaks Consulting, LLC is seeking a Mechanical Field Superintendent – Senior Consultant to lead I&C construction activities onsite in Childress, TX. You will supervise subcontractors, coordinate with engineers and clients, and maintain daily schedules to keep critical projects on track.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in instrumentation and controls on large industrial/fabrication projects, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of BMS, CAD tools, and project management software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of instrumentation and controls construction experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to work fully onsite in Childress, TX; ascend/descend ladders, work in confined spaces, and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Extensive experience with I&C installations on large industrial and hi-tech fabrication projects is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction means/methods, BMS architecture, sequences of operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities with other superintendents, I&C subcontractors, and other discipline subcontractors.
• Supervise multiple subcontractors and craft employees.
• Maintain and adjust the project schedule daily.
• Manage RFIs (requests for information) and submittal materials for review with the client and architect.
• Manage and abide by all safety protocols, and provide a safe work environment for the project team.
• Provide resolution to design and constructability issues.
• Respond to client requests and issues and develop resolutions using technical expertise.
• Interpret and implement proper installations in compliance with local codes and site specifications.
• Provide supporting information regarding field conditions and scope for cost estimates.
• Facilitate contractor activity to ensure performance by all contractual agreements.
• Assist with managing project staffing.
• Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Support system startup and commissioning activities for controls and building automation scopes.
• Provide status, risk, and mitigation updates to CBC leadership and the client.
