Job summary

Value Added Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer to support SRR Engineering Teams in the nuclear/process chemical sector. You will produce design outputs (P&IDs, control logics, loop diagrams, instrument specs) and conduct field walkdowns, interfacing with vendors as needed.

Required: BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Nuclear or I&C Engineering; five years of design experience with PLCs and DCS; 2D MicroStation CAD experience is a plus; travel as needed.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Nuclear, or I&C Engineering or PE registration.
• Five years design experience in nuclear or process chemical industry.
• Experience with PLCs and distributed control systems; field walkdowns.

Responsibilities

• Provide support engineering services to SRR Engineering Teams.
• Generate design output documents: P&IDs, control logics, loop diagrams, instrument indices, setpoint lists, instrument and control valve specifications, DCS and PLC design, installation design, panel layouts, vendor document reviews.
• Travel off-site to interface with vendors, fabricators and other engineering groups.
• Follow SRR processes and procedures for programmatic guidance.
