Job summary

Fervo Energy Co. seeks a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to lead the design and optimization of instrumentation & controls for geothermal power plants. You will apply first-principles analysis, mentor junior engineers, and drive standardization across projects.

You will design control architectures for 50 MW blocks, develop Ignition Perspective SCADA, program Rockwell PLCs, inspect P&IDs, and coordinate with IT/OT and cybersecurity teams to ensure robust I&C solutions.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 9–12 years of I&C engineering experience.
• Proficiency with NEC/ISA standards.
• Strong leadership and mentoring ability.
• Experience with process flow and P&ID.

Responsibilities

• Design control system architectures for 50 MW blocks.
• Develop Ignition SCADA apps and HMI screens.
• Program Rockwell PLCs in ControlLogix/CompactLogix.
• Produce I&C drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Coordinate with IT/OT and cybersecurity teams.
• Support site commissioning and SAT.
