SSOE Group in Austin, TX is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to lead I&C design for cleanroom, fab, and advanced manufacturing facilities. You will develop complete I&C packages, coordinate PLC/DCS architectures, and collaborate with project managers, clients, and vendors to ensure safety, quality, and schedule.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in industrial I&C design, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and strong communication skills to liaise across disciplines.

Formación

• Independent development of complete I&C design packages.
• Ability to read P&IDs, one-line diagrams and PFDs.
• Experience in semiconductor/advanced technology facilities is preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical, fire codes and ISA standards.

Responsabilidades

• Independently produce complete instrumentation and controls design packages for semiconductor and advanced technology facilities, including control system concepts, I/O lists, loop diagrams, schematics, panel layouts, and instrument indexes.
• Develop and coordinate control system architectures for PLC and DCS-based systems, including hardware selection, network interfaces, remote I/O, and integration with process and facility systems.
• Interpret P&IDs, one-line diagrams, process flow diagrams, and equipment data into coordinated deliverables for performance, maintainability, and reliability.
• Prepare control narratives, sequence of operations, cause-and-effect matrices, and point-by-point control descriptions for process, utility, and environmental systems.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines using AutoCAD and Revit; resolve interferences with Navisworks.
• Support QA/QC reviews, design reviews, client reviews, and field coordination to maintain quality and schedule.
• Assist startup, commissioning, and turnover activities including functional testing and as-built documentation.
