Meta seeks an experienced Production Systems Engineer to join the Data Center Operations team. The role focuses on analyzing server fleet data, building automation tooling, and driving improvements for hyperscale environments.

You will collaborate with globally distributed teams and contribute to tooling roadmaps. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in production systems or related fields, with strong Python, Bash, or C/C++ skills and experience in Linux production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years in production systems engineering or large-scale hardware environments.
• Experience with Python, Bash, and C/C++ for Linux at scale.
• Experience with hardware lifecycle management and fleet automation.
• Strong written communication across engineering and operations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and root cause systemic issues across the server fleet to maximize uptime.
• Develop and maintain diagnostic and automation tooling.
• Define tooling requirements for frontline operations.
• Lead escalation process for tooling and hardware issues.
• Validate new products in production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional tooling teams on roadmaps.
• Perform data analysis to prioritize automation opportunities.
• Mentor engineers and help improve tools and processes.
• Travel up to 25% for global deployments.
