Job summary

Thintech Group Limited is seeking a Senior Microsoft Hyper‑V Migration Engineer/Architect to lead hands‑on migrations from VMware ESXi/vSphere to Hyper‑V across multiple sites in the United States. The role requires travel to customer locations for 5–7 consecutive days per deployment and ongoing work for up to two years.

Responsibilities include deploying and validating Hyper‑V environments, configuring WSFC, and integrating with AD, DNS, and storage systems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Hyper‑V administration and migrations
• Experience with Windows Server 2019/2022/2025
• Experience configuring WSFC for highly available Hyper‑V
• VMware to Hyper‑V workload migration experience
• PowerShell automation and scripting
• Strong understanding of AD, DNS, and networking in virtualized environments

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and validate Hyper‑V environments at client sites
• Build Hyper‑V hosts/clusters and configure vSwitches, NICs, and storage
• Plan and execute VMware ESXi/vSphere to Hyper‑V migrations
• Develop migration runbooks, validation procedures, and rollback plans
• Collaborate with customer teams and provide knowledge transfer after deployment
• Perform pre/post‑migration testing and documentation
