Job summary

Schnabel Engineering seeks a Senior Hydropower Engineer to join our Harrisburg, PA team. You will lead assessments, planning, and modernization efforts for hydropower facilities, and contribute to the design of dams, intake structures, penstocks, and related water infrastructure.

The role requires 10+ years in hydropower project delivery, ABET-accredited engineering degree, and PE licensure or pursuit thereof.

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• 10+ years in planning, design, and modernization of hydropower equipment.
• PE license or ability to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design components for hydropower facilities and related water infrastructure.
• Perform inspections and assessments of turbines, governors, and related equipment.
• Prepare technical reports with findings and recommendations.
• Develop engineering plans and 2D design drawings.
• Lead and mentor engineering staff and manage project scope and schedule.
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to deliver on time and budget.
