Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to lead engineering, coordination, and oversight of instrumentation and controls for a large hydropower facility. You will support EPC execution through design development, interface management, constructability, and commissioning while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires deep experience in control systems for hydropower and a proven track record in BOP systems, with readiness for travel and on-site project

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical/Control Systems Engineering from a recognized institute.
• 15 years overall experience in engineering; 5+ years in control systems for hydropower or pumped storage.
• Experience on large power/infrastructure projects and powerhouse/BOP systems.

Responsibilities

• Review control system design for BOP and related scopes.
• Coordinate with design consultants and external stakeholders.
• Develop criteria, instrument lists, DCS design, data sheets, and room layouts.
• Interface with OEMs for control system integration into powerhouse systems.
• Provide construction and commissioning support during execution.
• Review deliverables for compliance with ISA, IEEE, and ASME standards.
