Pickering seeks an experienced Civil Engineer – Hydrology/Hydraulics for our Flowood, MS office to join diverse teams on transportation, drainage, watershed, and water resources projects.

The successful candidate will lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, design and project delivery, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and interact with clients. PE licensure and 5–10 years in water resources are preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental/Biological Engineering is required.
• 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience focusing on hydrology, hydraulics, drainage and water resources.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required.
• Experience performing hydrologic/hydraulic analyses and design for roadway drainage, bridges and floodplain analyses.
• Strong knowledge of modelling software including SMS/SRH-2D, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, HEC-HMS, and related tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical reports and client engagement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel for reports and calculations.

Responsabilidades

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and design for transportation, drainage, and water resources projects.
• Conduct bridge hydraulic analyses, scour evaluations, and floodplain studies.
• Design road drainage systems including stormwater facilities.
• Develop and review hydrologic/hydraulic models using industry-standard software.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, maps, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients; support permitting activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage project tasks and deliverables.
