Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to lead the Water Supply & Hydrogeology team in Texas, with role support nationwide. The candidate will oversee groundwater projects, advise on aquifer management, and coordinate teams across geologic, hydrogeologic, and environmental disciplines.

The position emphasizes mentorship, technical excellence, and client engagement, with hybrid work options and opportunities to influence water resource strategies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Geosystems Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of relevant hydrogeology/geology experience with project leadership
• Licensed Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE)
• Experience with aquifer storage and recovery, managed aquifer recharge, or injection well systems
• Strong understanding of federal and state water regulations, permitting processes, and compliance

Responsibilities

• Provide professional hydrogeological support for a wide range of domestic projects
• Evaluate and interpret geologic and hydrogeologic data
• Review and approve technical work by junior staff
• Develop project plans, budgets, and resource allocations
• Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary teams
• Present project findings to clients and technical professionals
• Support business development through proposals and client strategy meetings
