Job summary

EKI Environment & Water, Inc is seeking a Water Resources Principal Hydrogeologist in Arvada, CO. The role leads hydrogeologic consulting, manages projects and teams, and supports business development across Colorado and other geographies.

You will guide groundwater modeling, water rights, and water supply planning. The position requires 15+ years in hydrogeology, professional licensure if possible, and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of hydrogeology experience, with Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West preferred
• Registration or licensure as a professional engineer or geoscientist preferred
• Excellent client management skills with a proven ability to maintain long-term client relationships
• Proven track record of executing contracts and developing ongoing and/or expanded services for clients
• Knowledge of Colorado water rights, planning, management and development
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with clients, subconsultants, regulatory agencies and the public
• Must be able to travel within Colorado and occasionally to other sites

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise, technical guidance, and oversight on water resources projects
• Maintain awareness of technical innovations and standards with a Colorado focus
• Design, develop, and implement QA/QC protocols for projects and proposals
• Provide external leadership and support regional presence in professional groups and forums
• Provide internal leadership strengthening EKI’s technical capabilities
• Participate in strategic plan development and implementation
• Identify hiring and training needs and support hiring processes
• Support professional development of team members and growth opportunities
• Other duties as required
