Job summary

Arup is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist / Geothermal Specialist to join the Americas Geotechnics team in New York City. The role provides technical leadership across hydrogeology, groundwater and geothermal projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams on infrastructure, energy and major development initiatives.

You will lead field investigations, develop and review groundwater and geothermal models, and contribute to bids and client opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field (or equivalent).
Approximately 6+ years of relevant professional experience in hydrogeology/geothermal consulting.
Experience developing and interpreting conceptual hydrogeological models from geological, geotechnical and groundwater information.
Experience planning, supervising and interpreting hydrogeological field investigations and groundwater monitoring programs.
Experience with groundwater flow, permeability, seepage, dewatering and related analyses.

Responsibilities

Lead and deliver hydrogeological assessments for infrastructure, energy and development projects.
Develop conceptual hydrogeological models using geological and groundwater data.
Plan and interpret hydrogeological field investigations and groundwater sampling.
Develop and review analytical and numerical groundwater models.
Support Geoexchange/Ground Source Heat Pump system design and groundwater characterization.
Mentor junior engineers and support bids and client development.
