Job summary

Sargent Aerospace & Defense seeks a Design Engineer III to support Marine hydraulic valve and mechanism development. You will apply engineering science to design, analyze, and optimize components, lead design concepts, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet stringent Navy and aerospace requirements.

Responsibilities include performing stress/FEA analyses, developing proposals, and directing engineers through design iterations while maintaining rigorous documentation and testing

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical/related field.
• 5+ years in design engineering across product lifecycle.
• Proficiency in FEA (ANSYS) and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress, FEA, fatigue analysis for new and existing designs.
• Create and review designs per customer specs and engineering principles.
• Apply GD&T to enable inspection and manufacturing.
• Write and review test plans/reports for programs.
