Job summary

MnDOT seeks a Hydraulics Design Engineer in Oakdale to design bridge waterways, culverts, deck drains, and detention basins for trunk highways. You will provide technical support to MnDOT districts, municipalities, and counties, and perform bridge scour evaluations.

The role requires PE licensure or reciprocity, plus experience in hydraulics/hydrology and 2D modeling. Telework is eligible, with a hybrid schedule possible in Oakdale.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a professional engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design (AELSLAGID) or reciprocity.
• Experience in hydraulics and hydrology, including 2D modeling of streams and rivers.
• Experience analyzing and preparing engineering data.
• Experience providing technical guidance and support to others.
