Job summary

Employbridge is seeking a hands-on Test Lab Engineer in Corona, CA to own and optimize hydraulic and pneumatic test labs. You will ensure equipment availability, calibration, safety, and that parts progress through test on schedule.

You'll develop and maintain acceptance test procedures, design fixtures, and measure pressure and flow, while troubleshooting and documenting results. You will mentor technicians and coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering for new parts testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred or equivalent hands-on fluid power and test experience.
• Experience designing and operating test benches.
• Working command of pressure and flow: circuit behavior, measurement methods, instrumentation selection, and test uncertainty.
• Experience testing valves and pressure sensing components, or clearly transferable component-level test experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, hydraulic schematics, and written specifications.
• Proficient with precision measuring and calibrated equipment: pressure gauges, transducers, flow meters, calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, dial indicators, and oscilloscopes.

Responsibilities

• Test Lab Ownership: Ensure lab runs smoothly, equipment availability, calibration status, cleanliness, and safety.
• Coordinate test priorities with Production and Quality to keep parts moving through test on schedule.
• Maintain and improve hydraulic/pneumatic test benches, flow benches, leak and proof test stands, and related instrumentation.
• Own and document preventive maintenance and calibration coordination for test equipment.
• Train test technicians and verify qualification to procedures before job execution.
• Develop and maintain acceptance test procedures from customer specs and drawings with clear setup, sequence, tolerances, and pass/fail criteria.
• Design, modify, and commission test benches and fixtures, including circuit design, instrumentation, plumbing, and controls.
• Own pressure and flow measurement across the shop; understand pressure drop, flow, leakage, and related acceptance criteria.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve automated test and assembly equipment and identify opportunities for automation.
• Troubleshoot units that fail acceptance test, isolate causes, correct, and feedback findings into the build.
• Assess testability of new parts and flag verification feasibility with current capability.
• Define test methods, fixturing, and acceptance criteria for new parts with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality.
• Write and validate test work instructions and prove them prior to release.
• Document qualification results: what was run, data shown, and the released method.
