Job summary

DSC Dredge, LLC in Poplarville, Mississippi is seeking an experienced Hydraulic Technician III (1st Class) to serve as the most senior hands-on hydraulics specialist in our manufacturing facility. You will diagnose and resolve the most complex hydraulic system failures, lead installation and repairs, and mentor junior technicians to support worldwide dredge production.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent industry-related experience.
Minimum age of 18.
5+ years of proven experience as Hydraulic Technician or in a similar role in manufacturing/marine/industrial settings.
Strong mechanical knowledge with ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems.
Experience with various hydraulic systems and machinery.
Ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment.
Completion of technical hydraulics training preferred.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and random testing.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and troubleshoot complex hydraulic system failures using diagnostic tools and root-cause analysis.
Monitor equipment to detect early signs of malfunction or wear.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on hydraulic systems.
Repair or replace pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and hoses.
Read and interpret drawings, schematics, manuals, and flowcharts to repair, install, test machinery.
Install new hydraulic systems and align components for safe operation.
Maintain documentation of maintenance activities and inspections.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Collaborate with technicians and engineers to resolve issues and improve efficiency.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior technicians.
Stay current with advancements in hydraulic technology.
