Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling seeks a Senior Hydraulic Technician to perform complex diagnostics, advanced repairs, and complete overhauls of hydraulic systems and components in a busy shop setting. You will troubleshoot, repair, and test pumps, motors, valves and cylinders to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read hydraulic schematics, and precise measurement with micrometers and calipers.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years repairing hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, valves.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and parts breakdowns.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with hydraulic maintenance in trucks.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and complete overhaul of hydraulic pumps, motors, valves and cylinders.
• Assemble components, test performance, and ensure compliance with specs.
• Interpret complex schematics and select required parts.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor time.
• Operate precision machining equipment such as microfinishing and honing machines.
