Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Ohio is seeking a Hydraulic Technician to disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble hydraulic systems. You will ensure work meets manufacturer specs and safety standards while troubleshooting and testing components.

Responsibilities include teardown and inspection of rod cylinders, measuring dimensions to thousandths, assembling and testing cylinders, operating the microfinishing machine, maintaining records, and assisting in the hydraulic shop as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years repairing hydraulic components.
• Good mechanical aptitude for hydraulic maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Perform tear down and inspection of hydraulic rod cylinders.
• Measure all dimensions.
• Determine repairs needed.
• Assemble cylinders and test.
• Operate the Microfinishing machine.
• Remove and install hydraulic components from vehicles.
• Maintain accurate records (time, repair orders, and parts usage) on the computer.
• May assist in other areas of the hydraulic shop as needed.
• Perform routine housekeeping duties related to tools, materials, shop, and work areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
