Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Technician to perform diagnostics, repair, and complete overhauls of hydraulic systems and components to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

The role requires interpreting complex schematics, assembling cylinders, pumps, and motors, and testing assemblies. Strong experience (3–5 years) in hydraulic repair, with attention to detail and safety, is essential for success in a hands-on shop environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years performing repair and maintenance on hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, and valves.
Strong mechanical aptitude for hydraulic maintenance and repair.
Experience with hydraulic systems on trucks.
Attention to detail and safety-minded.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced diagnostics, tear down, inspection, and complete overhaul of hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and integrated systems.
Interpret hydraulic schematics and technical data to identify issues and recommend solutions.
Assemble components and test for proper functionality.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor time.
May assist in other areas of hydraulic shop as needed.
