Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Hydraulic and Mechanical Lead Engineer in Huntsville, AL to lead design, integration, and test of hydraulic components for a large radar program. You will develop architecture, perform trades, and create CAD models and BOMs in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, 4+ years hydraulics experience (or MS + 2), and proficiency with SolidWorks or Creo. DoD clearance or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 4+ years hydraulics engineering with BS or 2+ years with MS.
• Proficient in SolidWorks or Creo and ASME Y14.100/Y14.5.
• Familiar with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Strong communication and collaboration, detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, analysis, manufacture, integration and test of hydraulic components.
• Develop hydraulic system architecture and perform trade studies.
• Create CAD models and BOMs; support drawings and test procedures.
• Contribute to design reviews and technical documentation.
• Collaborate across design, analysis, fabrication, test, and program management.
