Job summary

Employbridge is seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Service Technician to join our service team in Charleston, SC. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems on a range of heavy equipment and industrial machinery.

This role requires reading schematics, performing preventive maintenance, and occasional overnight travel to customer sites. You will work with pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and fittings to ensure safety, reliability, and optimal performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, mobile equipment, or electro-mechanical equipment (mechatronics).
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other tools.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic systems using schematics, OEM manuals, and diagnostic tools.
• Repair and replace hydraulic components such as pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and fittings to restore equipment functionality.
• Recommend and implement modifications to hydraulic systems to meet operational needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and industrial machinery.
• Operate heavy equipment to assist with installation or repair tasks.
• Read technical drawings to determine solutions and required actions.
