Job summary

Snap-on is seeking a Hydraulic Repair Technician to join our team in Spring, TX. You will provide on-site and off-site support, repair hydraulic pumps, valves, and cylinders, and ensure quality service for our customers.

The role requires strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge, the ability to read schematics, and excellent problem-solving skills. You will work closely with operations to quote repairs and maintain thorough service records.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years of hydraulic repairs/rebuilds.
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical charts.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic principles.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Basic math and science skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Planning and managing projects.
• Professional and clear written and verbal skills.
• Some MS Office experience.
• Customer Service.

Responsibilities

• Repair pumps, valves, and cylinders as related to our business, per customer request.
• Test and inspect hydraulic pumps, valves and cylinders.
• Use measuring devices, calipers, torque tools, and various other hand tools to service equipment.
• Test and certify all rental and other equipment as required.
• Perform on-site maintenance and repair to customer’s equipment.
• Provide technical support via multiple communication avenues as necessary to all departments and customers as necessary.
• Work closely with operations to ensure quoting and billing of repair & service work; includes reports, filing, product research, customer interaction, status updates, parts inquisition, and repair needs.
• Keeps chronological records of service activity (receiving, evaluation, parts requests, repairs, completions, tests/certifications).
• Attend certification classes and schools as required.
• Shop maintenance (cleaning, organizing, trash removal, and securing valuables).
