We are currently seeking an experienced **Hydraulic Project Manager** to join our team in Raleigh, NC. This position offers the flexibility of working fully remotely, provided the candidate resides in the state of North Carolina. You will be responsible for managing and contributing to a wide range of hydraulic and hydrologic design projects, with a focus on transportation and roadway drainage systems. The role requires a deep understanding of NCDOT standards and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the coordination, design, and development of hydraulic projects, providing technical direction across all phases.
- Perform hydrology/hydraulic analyses for transportation project designs and construction.
- Design stormwater management systems, including ponds and drainage solutions for transportation-related projects.
- Oversee the planning and design of hydrologic and hydraulic improvements, including stormwater management, roadway drainage, and erosion control systems.
- Conduct fieldwork to assess and verify existing site conditions.
- Use drafting tools, such as MicroStation, to extract and analyze data for project designs.
- Collaborate with team members on complex hydraulic design studies, ensuring project timelines and client expectations are met.
- Stay up-to-date with NCDOT guidelines and industry best practices for hydraulic and drainage design.
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- **Education**: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- **Licensure**: North Carolina P.E. license required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- **Technical Proficiency**: Strong working knowledge of MicroStation, GEOPAK Drainage, HEC-RAS, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- **Experience**: Minimum of 10+ years of transportation hydraulic design experience, with a focus on NCDOT projects.
- Familiarity with NCDOT Level III certification, Open Roads Designer, and SUDA is a plus.
- Knowledge of NCDOT Guidelines for Drainage Studies and Hydraulic Design, as well as the FHWA Hydraulic Design Manual.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting project goals.

This is a full-time, salaried position offering competitive pay based on experience ($100,000 - $150,000 per year) along with a comprehensive benefits package, including:

**Remote Work Option**
