Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Hydraulic Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field; master's preferred.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
• Experience in hydraulic engineering design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Designing and analyzing hydraulic systems, including pipelines, channels, drainage systems, and water treatment facilities.
• Conducting feasibility studies and site investigations to determine viability and impacts of hydraulic projects.
• Collaborating with engineers and professionals to develop hydraulic designs and plans.
• Identifying and evaluating risks and hazards and implementing safety measures.
• Performing hydraulic calculations, simulations, and modeling to predict system behavior.
• Overseeing construction and installation of hydraulic systems per design specs and standards.
• Conducting inspections and assessments of existing hydraulic infrastructure and recommending maintenance or repairs.
• Staying updated on advancements in hydraulic engineering technologies and methodologies.
• Managing project budgets, timelines, and resources for project success.
• Collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and regulators to ensure environmental compliance and permitting.
