Job summary
Tetra Tech in Michigan is seeking a Hydraulic Engineer, PE to join our civil and hydraulic engineering team. The successful candidate will perform hydrological and hydraulic analysis, planning, and design for infrastructure projects across the country and around the world.
You will model hydraulic systems, prepare technical reports, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary design teams while mentoring junior staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering with a focus in hydrology and hydraulics.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
- 5+ years of experience.
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
Responsibilities
- Perform computer modeling of hydraulic infrastructure including water distribution systems, pumps, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, open channels, bridges/culverts, drainage, and stormwater design.
- Conduct hydraulic calculations to assist in the design of hydraulic infrastructure.
- Prepare technical reports for studies and design documents.
- Ensure technical accuracy, standard engineering practices, and documentation on reports and projects.
- Coordinate with design staff and interface with other disciplines.
