Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Hybrid Infrastructure Administrator to support, maintain, and modernize enterprise infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments. The role focuses on reliability, security, performance, and scalability while advancing cloud, automation, and Infrastructure as Code initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Windows and Linux servers, VMware, Active Directory, networking, storage, and firewalls, plus cloud experience (AWS or similar).

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise on-premises infrastructure including servers, networking, virtualization, storage, and security.
• Hands-on administration experience with VMware technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Experience with enterprise networking and firewall administration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or another major public cloud.
• Understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with IaC and automation (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, ARM/Bicep, Pulumi).
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux server environments.
• Manage VMware virtualization infrastructure, including health, performance, upgrades, and availability.
• Administer AD, domain controllers, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Manage enterprise networking and firewall configurations for security and performance.
• Support firewalls (SonicWall, Palo Alto) and security configurations.
• Monitor infrastructure health and address performance, capacity, and reliability issues.
• Perform server OS upgrades, patching, and vendor updates.
• Support storage and backup technologies (Isilon, Vblock, VxRail, Data Domain, Avamar).
• Administer and support hybrid-cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP with secure integration.
• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, security controls, monitoring, backup, and DR solutions.
• Develop automation and IaC solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, Ansible, or Pulumi.
• Build and maintain administrative automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for infra deployments.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors to resolve issues and deliver initiatives.
• Lead or contribute to infrastructure projects from planning to delivery.
