Hybrid work is available in the Tampa area with remote options for qualified candidates across several states. Ideal candidates bring a JD, active FL bar or remote-state eligibility, and 5–7 years of relevant underwriting or real estate experience.
Qualifications
- JD from ABA-accredited law school.
- Active bar admission in FL or remote state in good standing.
- 5–7 years of substantive title insurance underwriting or comparable commercial real estate experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial real estate law and applicable regulations.
- Ability to interpret underwriting standards within delegated authority.
- Experience with title commitments, policies, and settlement processes.
- Excellent communication and client relations skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide underwriting support and counsel on title commitments and policies.
- Interpret and apply underwriting standards within delegated authority.
- Advise colleagues on real estate settlement procedures and requirements.
- Support resolution of title issues and guide transaction strategy.
- Communicate underwriting decisions to internal teams and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and process improvement.
