Latham & Watkins LLP in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a Financial Programmer to design, develop, and maintain financial and accounting applications across the firm. You will own end-to-end solutions and collaborate with finance and IT teams to deliver scalable, cloud-native systems.

The role emphasizes C#, .NET, React, TypeScript, and SQL with API/microservices, Azure, and AI-assisted development tools, in a hybrid schedule with in-office presence allowed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience developing enterprise applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Strong experience with C#, .NET, and modern application architecture.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, and modern front-end development.
• Experience building cloud-native solutions in Azure.
• Strong SQL and database design skills.
• Experience working with REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development tools (GitHub preferred).
• Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools and practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable financial applications, APIs, and cloud-native services.
• Drive modernization of legacy systems and build next-generation cloud solutions.
• Own end-to-end solutions from design to deployment, ensuring performance and maintainability.
• Develop high-quality solutions using .NET, React, TypeScript and best practices including testing and automation.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate development, testing, and documentation.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, including service-oriented and event-driven systems.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, code quality, and development standards.
• Support production systems through monitoring and optimization.
• Mentor team members and promote engineering excellence.
