Job summary

Latham & Watkins is seeking a Programmer for its Technology & Information Services team in Downtown Los Angeles. You will design, develop, and maintain enterprise web, mobile, and back-end APIs. The role supports hybrid in-office and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting existing apps, coordinating requirements and timelines, and delivering prototypes. Must have C#, ASP.NET, SQL experience and a degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of programming experience, including 2+ years with C#, ASP.NET, and SQL.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, CS, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of C# and .NET (full framework and core) and MVC/Web Forms.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing existing web, mobile, and service applications.
• Coordinating with project analysts, team members, and stakeholders to determine application requirements, estimates, and timelines.
• Designing prototypes and proof-of-concept demos.
• Providing daily status and work estimates via work item tracking and verbal reports.
• Preparing appropriate system and user documentation as required.
• Protecting and maintaining confidential information.

About The Role

The Programmer is an integral part of Latham’s Technology & Information Services team and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications and systems software with a primary focus on web-based solutions and system integrations , while collaborating with team members to develop customized, high-quality enterprise web, mobile, and back-end APIs and applications. This role will be located in our Global Services office in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing existing web, mobile, and service applications


• Coordinating with project analysts, team members, and stakeholders to determine application requirements, estimates, and timelines


• Designing prototypes and proof-of-concept demos


• Providing daily status and work estimates via work item tracking and verbal reports


• Preparing appropriate system and user documentation as required


• Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Possess comprehensive knowledge of C# and .NET (full framework and core)


• Demonstrate proficiency with the ASP.NET programming platform, including MVC and Web Forms


• Display exposure to cloud development and DevOps, preferably with Azure

And have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent


• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, preferably


• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant programming experience, including a minimum of two (2) years of experience with C#, ASP.NET, and SQL programming
