Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join a team delivering hybrid cloud solutions across multiple US locations, including Colorado Springs, CO. The role focuses on enabling Classified Cloud Platforms with stringent security standards and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include architecting Azure-based hybrid infrastructures, evaluating connectivity, and guiding modernization while ensuring cost efficiency and risk management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with IT Infrastructure Server, Systems Integration and Operations.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage, and hybrid tools like Azure Stack or Azure Arc
• 5+ years of experience with on-premises systems, including servers, virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and basic data center management
• 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing and supporting wide area network/local area network environments
• 5+ years of experience developing automation testing & maintaining automation tools
• 5+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

Responsibilities

• Architect and design hybrid cloud solutions integrating on-prem data centers with Azure.
• Evaluate network connectivity solutions like ExpressRoute, VPN gateways, site-to-site connections.
• Lead hybrid infrastructure implementations with Azure resources and on-premises systems.
• Assess on-prem infrastructure for cloud adoption, cost-benefit analyses, and risk evaluations.
• Develop and enforce security, governance, and compliance in hybrid environments using Azure tools.
• Collaborate with development, operations, cloud platform, and security teams to optimize performance and DR.
• Stay current with Azure updates and industry trends to propose innovative solutions.
• Document architectures, create blueprints, and mentor junior architects and engineers.
• Participate in PoCs, vendor evaluations, and capacity planning for roadmaps.
