Job summary

Mantis Innovation is seeking a **Controls Application Engineer** in Dallas to develop BMS/SCADA applications at supervisory and controller levels. You will refine engineering standards and provide remote support to project teams while collaborating across engineering functions.

Experience with DDC/HVAC, BACnet/Modbus, and Ignition is essential. The role requires hands-on work across Niagara, Ignition, Wonderware, and PLC platforms, with a focus on scalable, reliable building automation solutions

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the engineering field, preferably in Building Automation or Controls Engineering.
• 5+ years of BMS/SCADA application development experience, mission critical experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DDC control theory & HVAC applications.
• Basic networking knowledge; addressing & subnetting, IP + serial device configurations.
• Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, SNMP, MQTT integrations.
• Experience with Ignition platform; Ignition Core certification preferred.
• Familiarity with Distech field controllers and GFX programming, Ignition SCADA, Wonderware, and PLC systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop BMS applications across Niagara, Ignition, Wonderware, Distech, and PLCs.
• Support the development and enforcement of engineering standards for programming, graphics, alarming, tagging, history management, and database creation.
• Provide remote technical support to Project Managers and Field Engineers during project execution.
• Report to the Controls Engineering Manager.
