Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Hardware Engineer to lead server configurations and BOMs for enterprise workloads. You will collaborate across Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Sales, and Support to ensure configurations are validated, orderable, and aligned with roadmaps and customer needs.

The role involves supporting NPI, platform roadmaps, lifecycle management, and field escalations, with a hybrid work model requiring 2 days per week in an HPE office across multiple US

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in server hardware, platform engineering, configuration management, product lifecycle management, or a related technical role.
• Experience developing and managing hardware configurations and BOMs for enterprise products.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and sustain purpose-built HPE server configurations and BOMs.
• Review and approve BOM and configuration details for test plans, validation activities, and product releases.
• Track server platforms, options, and component lifecycles, and maintain roadmap/change reports.
• Support development and maintenance of configuration menus, option structures, and business rules in ordering tools.
• Provide technical guidance for field sales inquiries and large-deal configurations.
• Support customer and field escalations by reproducing issues and assisting with root cause investigations.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Customer Support to ensure configuration accuracy.
