GE Vernova in Oakbrook Terrace, IL is seeking an experienced HVDC Control and Protection Lead to oversee technical solutions and ensure customer requirements are met through reference solutions. You will lead requirements gathering, system design, and end-to-end development of HVDC control and protection systems.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electronics or Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of HVDC experience, with PSCAD, RSCAD, MATLAB/Simulink, and real-time simulation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related.
• Ten (10) years of experience in HVDC control and protection system design.
• Experience with HVDC Control, Protection, sequencing; dynamic studies; and real-time simulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical solution and ensure customer requirements are met.
• Lead requirements gathering, system design, and development of HVDC control and protection systems.
• Review and approve technical documents including settings, manuals, and test plans.
• Serve as primary customer interface for technical discussions and training.
• Conduct EMT studies using PSCAD, EMTP-RV, and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Lead end-to-end validation across multiple simulation platforms.
