Dennis Group’s Mechanical Engineers design and implement mechanical systems as part of a broad engineering and architectural team in designing and building food and beverage production facilities.

They focus on HVAC, plumbing/utility, and fire suppression systems, with responsibilities spanning design calculations, equipment selection, vendor/vendor coordination, and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related 4-year degree
• 8+ years HVAC and utilities experience
• 8+ years of HVAC/Utilities design and specifications experience
• 8+ years of CAD experience (AutoCAD, Revit)
• 8+ years of energy, drainage, line loss calculations
• PE registration a plus
• Travel to customer project sites ~10–25%

Responsabilités

• Work independently on projects
• Manage several projects simultaneously
• Complete engineering from design through execution
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations
• Code reviews for HVAC/plumbing/fire protection designs
• Perform mass energy balance calculations
• Carry out drainage and line loss calculations
• Conduct flow test analyses
• Prepare PID drafting and design
• Develop and review vendor/sub-contractor bids
• Provide cost estimation and scheduling to PMs
• Lead commissioning activities
• Develop P&ID’s and layout plans
• Create mechanical/utility equipment and construction specs
• Support BMS controls development
• Prepare construction drawings and reports
• Field visits to verify scope
• Mentor/subordinate team members
• Research mechanical/utility materials
