Job summary

Dennis Group designs and builds food and beverage production facilities across the country. Join our mechanical team to design HVAC, plumbing, and fire suppression systems, and collaborate with engineers and architects on project delivery.

The role emphasizes calculations, system layouts, and construction documentation, with opportunities for growth and travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years of work experience or schooling in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
• 0–3 years of work experience or schooling with HVAC/plumbing/fire protection designs.
• 0–3 years of work experience or schooling performing calculations in energy, drainage, line loss.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• FE/EIT certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement mechanical systems for food and beverage facilities.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations and mass energy balances.
• Develop P&ID’s, layouts, and system details; size ductwork and piping.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams; support BMS development.
