Job summary

Dallas College is seeking a Senior HVAC Technician to lead a team of technicians and ensure reliable operation of HVAC, chilled water, boilers, and air handling systems across multiple campuses. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment, support preventive maintenance, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires strong leadership, safety discipline, and a track record with DD C controls and CMMS documentation.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent with eight years of related experience, including three years supervisory.
Commercial chiller/boiler experience including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
EPA Certification and a valid Texas driver's license.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of HVAC technicians, scheduling and quality oversight while remaining hands-on in the field.
Ensure safe, reliable operation of HVAC, chillers, boilers, and air handling across facilities.
Troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC equipment, controls, sensors, and related systems.
Oversee preventive maintenance program and ensure compliance with standards.
Analyze system data and recommend energy and reliability improvements.
Assist with project planning and budgeting for HVAC capital and maintenance.
Document activities in CMMS and travel within Dallas County as needed.
