Job summary

GEO Corrections & Detentions seeks an experienced HVAC Technician to maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems within our facilities. The role involves overhauls, part replacement, and collaboration with detainee maintenance staff under supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 5 years of HVAC/refrigeration experience, and preferred EPA Type I/II certification. Competitive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years full-time experience in HVAC/refrigeration operation, repair, and maintenance.
• EPA Type I and II refrigerant recovery certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overhauls and services HVAC equipment, removes/install motors and thermostats.
• Repairs and replaces worn parts on condensers, compressors, pumps, valves, piping, and electrical components.
• Maintains records and prepares repair/service reports.
• Directs work and provides technical assistance to detainee maintenance staff.
• Maintains security of assigned detainees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
