Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking an HVAC technician to install, repair and maintain ventilation and air conditioning systems across its Hartford facilities. You will identify maintenance risks, diagnose faults and service rooftop units, building management systems, chillers, and medical gas lines.

The role requires 3 years of commercial HVAC experience and CT licenses for Heating & Cooling, Medical Gas (MG-1/MG-2), and Freon Recovery. OSHA compliance and safe handling of refrigerants are essential.

Qualifications

  • 3 years general commercial HVAC experience required.
  • CT Heating & Cooling, Medical Gas (MG-1 or MG-2) and Freon Recovery licensure required.
  • Follow procedures, OSHA requirements, and safe handling of refrigerants.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair and maintain Roof Top Unit systems, Building Management Systems, refrigeration equipment, chillers, air handlers and cooling towers.
  • Maintain Medical Gas lines and related piping.
  • Install and repair piping (copper, Pex, PVC, CPVC), ducts, boilers and heat pump systems.
  • Diagnose HVAC faults using hand tools, testing equipment and meters.
  • Ensure proper reclaiming and disposal of refrigerants per industry standards.
  • Perform related duties as required.
