Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Hartford Hospital seeks a skilled HVAC technician to install, maintain and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs on rooftop units, boilers and cooling towers, and ensure safe handling of refrigerants.

Qualified candidates have 3 years of general commercial HVAC experience and hold CT Heating & Cooling, Medical Gas MG-1 or MG-2, and Freon Recovery licenses, with the ability to braze and solder piping and operate related

Qualifications

• 3 years general commercial HVAC experience.
• Valid CT Heating & Cooling license, Medical Gas MG-1 or MG-2, and Freon Recovery licensure.
• Comply with OSHA procedures and organization policies.
• Able to operate electronic devices and follow directions precisely.
• Ability to braze and solder piping.
• Physical ability to work in crouching/standing positions for long periods and on ladders/scaffolding.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain Roof Top Unit Operating Systems, Building Management Systems, refrigeration equipment, chiller units, air handlers and cooling towers.
• Perform maintenance on Medical Gas lines and related piping.
• Troubleshoot HVAC system issues with tools and measurement devices.
• Ensure proper reclaiming and disposal of refrigerants.
