Job summary

Charlestown by Erickson Senior Living in Catonsville, MD seeks a Senior HVAC Technician to maintain HVAC equipment, heat pumps, refrigeration, PRV valves, cooling towers, pumps, motors, and building automation systems, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our residents.

You will perform maintenance, respond to emergencies, inspect systems, read blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot refrigeration and ice machines; compensation ranges $29.00-$30.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in HVAC service; education will be considered in lieu of experience.
• Working knowledge of commercial electrical and plumbing systems.
• Willing to work a reasonable amount of scheduled and on-call overtime.
• Be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must possess EPA certification to handle refrigerants.

Responsibilities

• Perform requested maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Respond to emergency calls for system failures.
• Inspect, monitor, and evaluate the efficiency and safety of systems.
• Read blueprints and isometrics, prepare sketches as required to document work.
• Perform all necessary scheduled preventive maintenance on designated equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment and ice machines.
