Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC systems and related equipment. The role supports and ensures compliance with safety rules and codes during second shift operations from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years HVAC/R experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read and follow blueprints and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak conversational English.
• Must document records neatly and accurately.
• Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies.
• Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner.
• Ability to instruct others per blueprints and work from sketches.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or scheduled instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Develops and implements departmental equipment procedures for power outages.
• Installs, inspects, maintains, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Prepares the preventive maintenance schedule and reports.
• Coordinates and performs electrical equipment maintenance and modifications per codes.
• Assists in operation and maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, locksmith, and alarm systems.
• Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs machinery and systems as scheduled.
• Monitors outside contractors’ work to ensure requirements are met.
