Job summary

Orlando Health seeks a skilled facility maintenance technician to perform emergency and preventive maintenance of electrical distribution, mechanical, HVAC, power generation, plumbing, and life-safety systems across the campus. The role supports multiple departments and coordinates with other trades.

You will collaborate with outside contractors, follow OSHA standards, requisition supplies, and document fire safety measures to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years' experience involving trade applications or mechanical work (automotive, industrial or hospitality).
• 1 year experience if a trade or vocational school graduate (non-trade specific).

Responsibilities

• Performs emergency and preventive maintenance of electrical distribution, mechanical, HVAC, power generation, plumbing, pneumatic tube system, medical gas systems, and building structures.
• Works with other trades as assigned and collaborates with outside contractors as job permits.
• Follows OSHA safety standards and maintains records for compliance with state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations.
• Coordinates, conducts, and documents fire and life safety measures, including fire inspections, with Safety and Security departments.
• Trains other engineers in specific skills and conducts in-services as required.
• Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition and responds to Code Calls.

Education
