Job summary

Orange County Government in Orlando seeks a Senior HVAC Mechanic to perform advanced mechanical work, supervise trades, and maintain refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating systems in county buildings.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 5 years of HVAC experience, EPA universal certification, and a valid Florida driver's license; experience with Johnson Controls/Trane building automation is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in operation and maintenance of HVAC/R systems.
• Must have Universal EPA certification.
• Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License.
• Experience with building automation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating equipment in county buildings.
• Operate and monitor building control systems and adjust Building Automation System parameters.
• Read blueprints and schematics to determine component needs and layout.
• Supervise lower-level trades personnel and coordinate with contractors.
• Work after-hours standby on a rotational basis.
