Job summary

IU Health Fort Wayne is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to operate, install, troubleshoot and repair heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems across hospital facilities. Candidates should understand AHUs, VAV boxes, and laminar flow equipment.

The role requires at least 5 years of relevant experience, a Universal CFC, and the ability to read schematics and blueprints. On-site work with steady schedule; on-call coverage may begin in May 2027.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Requires Universal CFC certification.
• Deep knowledge of electrical, electronics, mechanical HVAC systems.
• Ability to read complex blueprints and diagrams.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate, install, troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.
• Preventative maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Be first point of contact for maintenance issues.
• Coordinate or lead project planning when necessary.
• Train colleagues and provide leadership to the team.
