Job summary

Gilead Sciences Inc. is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician (HVAC) to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize HVAC systems across the La Verne site and related facilities.

You will support GMP manufacturing environments and ensure regulatory compliance through proactive maintenance and rapid fault resolution. The role requires 5+ years of industrial HVAC experience, EPA Refrigerant certification, and familiarity with BAS/BMS systems.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required.
Experience in manufacturing/pharma or regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment including AHUs and chillers.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC and facility utilities.
Diagnose failures using schematics, P&IDs and manufacturer docs.
Monitor environmental parameters for GMP manufacturing.
Support BAS/BMS control troubleshooting and commissioning tasks.
Coordinate maintenance activities with supervisors and stakeholders.
Document activities in CMMS and assist with shutdown planning.
Respond to emergencies and work multi-shift as needed.
May perform duties of lower grade maintenance roles as assigned.
