Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced HVAC technician for field-based, on-site service and maintenance across defined customer sites. You will commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in commercial environments, using your knowledge of air conditioning theory and mechanical layouts.

The role requires extensive HVAC experience, EPA Universal Certification, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with handheld devices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically at least 10+ years of HVAC experience. Technical school or formal training is preferred.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and working proficiency with handheld devices (Smartphone/iPad).
• EPA Universal Certification Required.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end testing, downloading programming, starting up, commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects.
• Represents the company as the direct customer contact and services products and equipment on site, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Coordinates with team leader/project manager and customer to forecast issues and gather materials for on-site installations and repairs.
• Uses software and tools, following blueprints or engineering specs, to diagnose and repair units.
• Continually enforces safety standards and maintains asset accountability.
• Mentor team members and be flexible for overtime and overnight stays as the business requires.
