Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas Inc., the world’s largest HVAC company, seeks a full-time HVAC Serviceman for onsite duties in Las Vegas, NV. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on commercial/industrial HVAC equipment including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and water source systems.

You will lead apprentices, conduct diagnostics, educate customers, and ensure safety and compliance while maintaining records of service activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Journeyman status by the union
• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• Rotational Emergency Call Support
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Responsibilities

• Inspect and service HVAC equipment including chillers, rooftop units, and air handling systems
• Repair and replace defective components or wiring
• Perform preventative maintenance and identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns
• Conduct independent diagnostics, troubleshooting, and brazing/pipefitting
• Inspect systems to verify functionality during warranty service
• Educate customers on proper use, maintenance schedules, and manuals
• Lead apprentices through hands‑on demonstrations for rebuilds and retrofits
• Record billing, timecards, inventory, and reports in a timely manner
• Download programs and analyze chiller trend data for optimal performance
• Participate in regional technician training and self‑paced learning modules
• Maintain required certifications and safety standards
• Complete jobsite hazard assessments and adhere to safety policies
